BARICHO HIGH SCHOOL CONTINUES TO SHINE BEYOND THE CLASSROOM!

Our talented musicians, vocalists and instrumentalists represented the school with pride at the recently concluded 2026 Kirinyaga County Music Festival held at Kerugoya Stadium grounds.

Results that make every Baricho heart swell with joy:

• 1st Position – Mixed Choir (Folk Song Category)
• 1st Position – Girls’ Kenyan Folk Song
• 2nd Position – Western Choral (SATB)
• 2nd Position – African Percussion Ensemble
• 3rd Position – Solo Voice (Male Category) – Brian Muthomi, Form 3
• Certificate of Merit – Best Conductor – Mrs. Purity Gitonga

This outstanding haul of awards is a clear demonstration of the discipline, passion and teamwork that define Baricho boys even in the performing arts. Special appreciation goes to our dedicated Music Director Mrs. Purity Gitonga, accompanists, and the entire performing arts department for the excellent preparation and guidance.
